Dr. Emila Skirmuntt: Viruses are getting closer to humans due to environmental degradation
A Polish virologist from the University of Oxford explains the causes of the coronavirus pandemic and explains the state of knowledge of scientists about the different types of viruses found in nature, 🇵🇱👩🔬
“We know a lot, but we will know everything only after the pandemic is over.
Now that three pharmaceutical giants are poised to distribute COVID-19 vaccines hopefully this will be the beginning of the end for the pandemic on this worldwide scale. Hopes are high now that Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca have developed vaccines. Great Britain is the first country to approve Pfizer’s vaccine and the world is waiting with bated breath for good news. Poland has contracted with Pfeizer for 45 million doses which should inoculate 22.5 million people in Poland. The Polish government has announced that once available the vaccine will be free and non-obligatory.
Dr. Skirmutt cites that a global pandemic has been considered a posibility for many years as a result of human activity, animals have less and less living space and are closer to humans.“The natural environment is being destroyed, animals have nowhere to live, and viruses are getting closer.”
We’re all keeping our fingers crossed that a long term solution will be found and we humans can get back to our normal lives.
Wish us luck…so we can see you all in Poland asap!! 🇵🇱😀
