A 22 mile long strip lined with beaches of beautiful fine sand adores Poland’s Baltic coast

Hel Peninsula is a popular summertime destination for those seeking beautiful beaches and water sports. In fact, Hel Peninsula is one of the most popular places in Poland for windsurfing and kitesurfing and is a good reason that numerous world champions of these sports actually hail from Poland. On the bay side of the peninsula much of the depth of the waters is shallow enough to walk in. Don’t expect big hotel complexes here though….accomodations are mostly apartments (that can be reserved via various internet platforms), campgrounds and bed & breakfast establishments. πŸŒžπŸ–β›΅πŸŸ

At the tip of the peninsula visitors can visit an old fishing village, by the name of Hel, with numerousΒ  historic houses and a working port where fishing boats dock and sell their catches. Visitors will have no trouble finding souvenirs as there are tens of vending stalls. πŸŒžπŸ–β›΅

There are plenty of eating establishments where you can endulge in some seafood. Our favorite is a small fish shop called To Tu (which means “It’s Here” in Polish) with a restaurant section that serves wonderful, fresh fish. This one I wholeheartedly recommend! 🌞🐟
